Use my data to help my business
Database Management
Our roots are in database work, starting with mission-critical systems for the U.S. Department of Defense. We find the trends, the bottlenecks, and the quiet data-quality problems that cost you money, and we make your data something you can actually rely on.
We work across MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and T-SQL, using schema design, indexing, stored procedure optimization, and query tuning to turn slow systems fast and messy data trustworthy. If your reports disagree with each other, we can fix that.
Automate my business
Automation and Artificial Intelligence
We automate the repetitive work and integrate AI where it earns its place. Using UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate for robotic process automation, we have taken the bulk of the manual effort out of parcel logistics workflows. We build with large language models directly (Claude, Grok, and Gemini) and with Google Cloud Vision for document processing, including full AI pipelines that classify, deduplicate, and summarize at volume.
Automation handles invoice processing, data entry, ticket routing, and recurring reports, which frees your people for work that actually needs a person. Every AI-driven change we ship is reviewed by a human and tested end to end before it goes live.
Modernize my business
Legacy Software Migration
We work across SQL, PHP, JavaScript, C#/.NET, Java, and C/C++, bringing older systems onto current, supported platforms. Every project starts with an assessment and a written design you approve before any code changes, so there are no surprises.
Not every legacy system needs replacing. Some just need to be maintained and improved where they stand, and we will tell you plainly which situation you are in.
Database migration is a specialty: moving data off an end-of-life platform into a modern, secure relational database, then reconnecting every application that depends on it. Recent example: we took a client’s 12-year-old compliance system off an unsupported runtime and proved, calculation by calculation, that the numbers it reports did not change.
Get me online
Full Stack Software Development
We build web and application software end to end, front end through back end, in PHP, JavaScript, C#/.NET, and Java, with REST API and OAuth 2.0 integration to the systems you already run. Search and social setup is part of the job, because software nobody finds is not much use.
We have delivered web systems for the U.S. Navy, and dozens of portals since for small businesses and industry leaders, spanning e-commerce, client management systems, and custom internal applications.
The work is scoped to what your business actually needs, built to scale when you grow, and handed over clean.
Recent work
A selection of current engagements. Client names and product details are withheld by agreement, so these describe the work rather than the customer.
Federal Compliance Modernization
Moved an energy-sector client’s 12-year-old environmental compliance platform off an end-of-life runtime and rewrote its entire data layer with zero change to what it computes. We proved it by running the old and new systems side by side and comparing 243 compliance calculations, with no differences. Delivered with single sign-on and a tested rollback plan.
Production AI Analysis Pipeline
Designed and built a system that ingests from many sources, classifies each item with a large language model into validated structured data, groups near-duplicates using vector search, and publishes an automated synthesis report. A human approves every change the system proposes to its own sources and categories.
Zero Downtime Platform Migration
Moved a live business site off a proprietary hosting platform onto a modern deployment pipeline in a single day, including search-engine structured data and business email routing. No downtime, no lost mail, and hosting cost dropped to zero.
Bilingual Lead Generation Rebuild
Rebuilt a distributor’s product and marketing site around one goal: getting the phone to ring. Delivered in English and Spanish with a search-optimized structure and conversion-focused page design.
The same job, four times
Four separate times, at four clients and in four different technology stacks, we have taken over a business-critical system that nobody inside the company still understood. No documentation worth the name, no build environment, and in one case no servers of its own. Each time the job was the same: stabilize it, take ownership of the infrastructure, move it onto a supported platform, and prove the numbers did not change.
That last part is the whole product. Rewriting a system is the easy half. The reason a business hands over the one it cannot afford to break is that we run the old and the new side by side against the same data and show you, case by case, that the answers match. The compliance platform above is the documented example: 243 calculations across four instrument types, no differences.
And where it fits, we separate function from data. The rules that change live in a table your own staff can edit, not in code you have to pay a developer to touch.
How we work with AI
We use AI agents as real engineering tooling, not as a shortcut. Every change an agent makes is reviewed and approved by a human, driven end to end in a running system, and backed by a rollback plan before it goes live. Nothing is called finished because it looks finished. That discipline is why we are comfortable pointing AI at systems a business cannot afford to break. It is not new here either: on optical telecom systems we set a static-analysis standard that failed the build when code violated it, and drove measured complexity down across thousands of functions.

09. Tell me about some of your most interesting projects.
We have shipped software into some genuinely demanding places. A few highlights:
For a parcel logistics provider, we built an automated audit system that catches late shipments and files refund claims with UPS and FedEx on its own, using Robotic Process Automation and AI document processing. It removed the bulk of the manual claims work and recovered significant annual refunds, shared between the company and its clients.
For the FedEx Small Package Sortation System in Memphis, we engineered the real-time middleware connecting the sorter floor to the control system, translating routing commands and feeding high-volume sortation data into a live database for analysis as packages moved.
For the Connecticut Lottery Corporation in Hartford, we designed and shipped the first PC-based in-store lottery terminal in the United States, fielded statewide, including the operator interface and the backend communications driving the printers and scanners.
We built the U.S. Navy’s secure distribution platform for STU-III telephones in Washington, D.C., reachable only over an encrypted telephone call, and the server behind the searchable document archive serving the fifteen standards and user support groups behind the Next Generation Computer Resources effort.
And at Ciena in Linthicum, Maryland, we built long-haul optical transport software: the systems that push data through fiber at the far edge of what the glass will carry. Ciena’s approach multiplied the capacity of cable already in the ground rather than trenching new fiber, which was exactly what the carriers needed when bandwidth demand outran their networks. We wrote the embedded C that ran on the nodal control processor, and led and extended the simulator the application developers worked against. It talked to simulated circuit packs exactly as the live system talked to real ones, so those teams could build and test long before hardware existed, and their code did not have to change when it arrived. That work shipped into production at Verizon, AT&T, and British Telecom. The same problem is back today, with AI data centers driving the demand, and the same technology is answering it.
